Alatsi Greek Restaurant

Alatsi is the word for sea salt in the Cretan dialect. It is also the new name of our restaurant (formerly known as Sansis), located in Doncaster only minutes off the Eastern freeway.

At Alatsi, you will experience unique tastes of what the beautiful island of Crete has to offer. Our food is authentic and delicious, and our menu is based on the Cretan diet which is a diet credited for its adherents living longer and healthier lives.

Our aim is to source the freshest of seasonal produce, incorporating locally sourced seafood, fresh meats and vegetables, and where we can products direct from the beautiful island of crete itself.

We believe that the quality of the ingredients are just as important as the cooks skill.

Some of our unique dishes include: Kid Goat Casserole, Hirino Krasato (tender pork pieces cooked in wine), Beetroot Salad a salad of beetroot, yoghurt, walnuts and garlic. And ofcourse we have our mouthwatering Meat and Seafood Dishes all cooked on the Charcoal Grill - Tender Lamb Cutlets, Lamb or Chicken Souvlaki, Lamb Yeeros, Grilled Octopus and much more.

Our restaurant is fully licensed with an extensive bar and wine list. We have Banquet Menus and can cater for Functions. We are open from Tuesdays to Sundays dinner 6pm till late and lunches from Thursdays to Sundays. We will also feature live Cretan music from time to time. We look forward to welcoming you.
